Class Description:

This class introduces our artists to the exciting world of painting and drawing. Together we experiment with different materials including watercolours, ink, pencil, acrylics and more. Students will learn how to create depth, mix colours, create interesting compositions as well as building observational drawing skills.

Projects range from botanical illustration, portrait painting, collage, mindfulness based art making and projects inspired by well known artists and current exhibitions. Through a series of fun filled and exciting activities students will learn the many ways we can express our creativity and imagination!

At Gloworm Studios all students are treated like the true artists that they are, therefore we fully encourage and nurture each student's development of their unique personal style.

Age group: 7 - 10 year olds

When: Monday from 4 - 5 30 pm during school term.

Term fee (10 week term): $300

Term 3: Monday 13th of July - Friday 18th of September

Term 4: Monday 5th of October - Friday 11th of December

No classes on public holidays

Some recent changes to our studio:

This term we’ll be introducing some changes to our pick up/drop off procedures as well as some extra safety measures in an effort to keep our students, staff members and greater community as healthy as possible. Thank you for reading, we really appreciate your cooperation!

  • We ask that parents remain outside until the end of class to reduce the number of people in our studio at one time. We will have a staff member at the door to welcome students so if it is possible to drop off your child without entering the studio that would be appreciated. We aim to check in and check out students one at a time to reduce close contact and congestion at the door. If you would like to come into the classroom please note we are only allowing two adults in at a time. Please practice social distancing at all times. 

  • Please do not send your child if they are presenting any signs of cold, flu or any other illness. We offer make up classes for missed classes. If a child presents to class visibly unwell we may call their parent/guardian and ask for them to be picked up. Our studio has staff members who are immunocompromised there for we need to be extra cautious.

  • We ask that students and parents hand sanitise before entering our studio. Hand sanitiser will be available in a holder on our front door. 

  • We will not be providing snacks however children are more than welcome to bring along a (nut free) snack and drink bottle to class.
